Completed my second assignment

Postby BirdbyBird » Sat Feb 21, 2009 7:29 pm

I haven't gone upstairs to find my missing person picture yet...It will give me something to look forward to tomorrow...but I did get my "bus" pictures posted under the "Rigs" section. Think I have this photobucket thing figured out. I do have a question?
Does anyone here use SmugMug for their photo gallary. I know that some bloggers use it. There is a charge but is it worth it for those that use it?

I had never heard of smugmug, but I can't imagine using something I would
pay for if I can use something else for free, there must be some added
benefit to it or people would just continue to use the free one.

I've heard of it, haven't used it. I think if you're going to be putting lots (and I mean lots) of pictures on one of these services, then you may at some point need a paying service. Photobucket has one also. If you want to use one of these services to store your pictures instead of on your computer then Smugbug looks good because it appears to allow unlimited pictures for the amount.

The one thing I don't like about them, is the comment they make about the fact that it's paying means they won't disappear. Unfortunately, in these economic times, I don't find that to be the criteria as to whether or not someone is around tomorrow.

Use whichever service you prefer and works for you. I'm happy with free for now - but who knows what the future will bring.
