Checking to see if this link works for a carnival slide show.

(Please forgive my copying and pasting from the other group, but I just don't have the patience or time to do this all over again!!)

It was such a perfect day for the parade yesterday!

This slide show link works fine, but pictures are smallish and don't show what it was really like. So I'll post some of my favorites on here, too. This parade went on for over two hours, and these are just a few of the highlights of the myriads of floats that went by. Music was booming from nearly every float, and there were several marching bands, including our own high school band. It really gets people out of the woodwork up here each year!

Thanks for all the pictures.....I can see why the warm temperatures could spell trouble for the "ice" creations. The community sure looks like it knows how to have fun.

NEXT YEAR Soos, you must be a Lawnchair Lady! Great photos, I did shudder for the poor bagpipers, cold knees and other body parts. Snort, snort!

Knowing Sparkle she'd probably ask one of the bagpipers if they are wearing their wool underwear under those kilts! LOL
I love the Pirate theme, I Love Pirates!!! Burrrr it did look cold there though.
The greatest ice stuff I have ever seen was at the Chena Hot Springs in Alaska

Jenny, I wear a fleece jacket bought from Chena Hot Springs, and the dog we owned in Alaska was named Chena.

Great pictures, Soos. I loved the lawn chair ladies and the percussion instruments. I always enjoy bagpipes...they bring back childhood memories. In our little NH town the bagpipers practiced every Saturday evening in the schoolyard...and the sound of their music could be heard all over town.
