oh wow, how very very interesting and I must say a little scary how the water disappears and goes underground, and the "natural" roadway
that leads to the rivers rise....my mind would wonder if it was going to collapse into a sinkhole. I think the scary and intriguing is what
keeps us keeping on. I would love to go there and visit.

Very interesting, Liz (as always)! I wonder how many of these rivers that go underground there are. We ride the ATVs on the Hassyampa River near Wickenburg, AZ that goes under.

That is exactly what I was thinking! With all the stories lately of sinkholes in Florida, you just never know! :o

Loved your pictures!!! beautiful area....and we have one of those rivers that disappears and reappears in WY can't remember the name of the river
one of those names I can't pronounce but the town it's by is Lander WY. they are so interesting thanks for telling and showing about this one

I talked with a man once who did scuba diving down in those underground rivers. That I could never do! lyn
