is one of those days...I am thinking...just put it all
in a big garbage bag and set it out for the man
to take away...overwhelmed doing this alone...

Good morning Donna :(

Hmm, yesterday, I was in your shoes, sort of. Going through stuff that I still couldn't bear to throw out, but finally did--i.e. med records of my long-gone dear pets. Why keep those things? They just remind me of the heartbreak of losing them :( I think of them often enough without silly papers to bring them to mind again...Then looking at things that are the last "relics" of my mom & dad.....Yikes, don't get me started, I'll be crying all day..

So Good morning Donna & all to follow :D I hope all enjoyed the 4th celebrations. Fireworks in the neighborhood (illegal) started about 6 pm & were going strong at 9:45, til we had a real fireworks display provided by mother nature--heavy rain with lightning & thunder & all! Clear blue sky this a.m., sun gearing up to give us much heat & humidity again today. So I'll get out & do a bit of yard work first thing--well, after another cup of coffee to get me going

Hope y'all have a great day & be safe wherever you are 8-)

One of the life lessons I learned when getting my first RV a year ago was about "stuff". After all, at this point in life we have accumulated lots of stuff. And it is just stuff. I like my stuff but I learned that I can be just as happy with a lot less. Only so much can fit in a 20 ft RV!

I'm glad I only had a couple weeks to downsize - I had to do it so fast that I couldn't get too upset. I outfitted my rig with everything in a couple days. Everything else had to go or go in storage. I was talked into the storage locker ... was the wrong thing for me - and costly ... but 2 years later gave away everything in it - and that was the good stuff I could have sold. It was so freeing.

And now here I am finding myself accumulating in this little rig. How dare I? Too many clothes, etc. Yep, it's all STUFF ...

you are not alone, I will have to do some serious downsizing myself when I get ready to move back into my rv. My
biggest problem is not so much "stuff" but "papers". Why do I think I have to save those booklets and receipts, etc.

I've been downloading digital owner's manuals and such, and scanning receipts. I love it -- I'm better organized and the stuff isn't taking up space. Now if I could just do something about the backlog of the last 40 years . . .
