I'd like to add my congratulations to you both and a big WHOO HOO! I agree with what someone else has said - when I look back over my life I find that most regrets are for things i DIDN'T do, as opposed to things I did. The safest way isn't always the best. Best of luck to you and remember - you can handle it. You've done pretty well so far, haven't you?

Echo and Kelly, I'm soooooooo happy for you. I don't know how you two did that job in collections. If you can do that, you can do anything. Wow and to get to be with Sparkle - maybe you can keep her out of trouble. Uh oh - it may be the other way around. Can hardly wait for the posts.

Oh my, Echo! So glad for you! Uh Oh, I see another trip to the Grand Canyon in my future....missed a few things when I was there last time.....Sparkle DID tell you about the strange people that work there didn't she????

OK Evie, get your traveling boots on and get ready for a mule ride down the Grand Canyon! I've already done it, so don't really need to do it again, but I would hate to have you miss that experience and I'm sure Sparkle would just love to escort you on that particular adventure! TeeHee!

When's the Moab GTG? Might be able to combine the two if the timing is right. We're going to Sturgis for the motorcycle rally in August, so that whole month is gone.

Man you go back to school for a week and miss reading all the posts. I have cried for you and your daughter at the **ll job that you have but I admired your ability to win even when it was hard. I remember your move after trucking. I looked forward to your welcome daily in the coffee house. I hope that you enjoy your new adventure. I have never been to the Grand Canyon but that is on my to do list. Hoping that it starts your new life out there and is the best move in your life.

I can't wait to hear your adventures with Sparkle. That ought to be a show....but keep on giving us laughs and success. Like I told my daughter the other day, success is the best that you get from life and it never is easy and never a straight path. Hoping your move is great.

Just thought I'd pop in for a moment and WOW! The first thing I see is such great news! You'll both do fine. If you can do that dumb job you've been doing, you can do anything! And what a gorgeous place to do it! Good for you, Echo and Kelly!

I've been to the Grandest Canyon a few times, and if you think I'm gonna have Sparkle get me on some foolish mule, looking straight down into an abyss, you are traveling with the wrong gal, Sharon! I've seen those trails. Nope! Uh, uh. No way.

What is that saying??? Nothing ventured, nothing gained.... ;) You two have this chance for a whole new life so don't even hesitate to jump right on in... Things happen for a reason & this opportunity just seems like a gift from heaven...so someone is obviously looking out for the two of you :!: Absolutely thrilled for you both. Just sounds soooo exciting....Enjoy every step of this new path....Seems to me there should be some real celebrating to do...maybe by the campfire :D Best of luck & just keep smiling...(cause you're making a lot of us jealous ;) :P

Safe & memorable travels to you !!!!

Wow! Congratulations to you and Kellie. Tell us all about your jobs...you know we are curious. Sounds like it will be a neat place to work. I'm sure you will both work hard and will enjoy this new adventure. Maybe it will get you a little closer money-wise to eventually get an RV. Where will you be living? Do they provide living quarters? Geez, we were discussing another TN GTG but you probably will be gone by then, darn.

Oh yeah, forgot about the ATV ride....get Sparkle to take you out looking for dead cows! She loves to collect 'em.

Oh come on Evie.....surely you wouldn't pass up a chance to ride a mule??? The trail isn't THAT narrow!

Your all nuts!!!

Our jobs will be in housekeeping. Shift is about 6hrs a day, 5 days a week, approximately 5 or 6 cabins? each?, told the owner that we could fill in else where if needed. Kelly has done reservations and she's a whole lot better with anything to do with computers but I guess they do it on paper out there, we've both waited tables and we can both do prep work in the kitchen. So we might be getting a few more hours?

Housing is basically provided. We will have to pay some towards it each month. They have cabins, RV's and park models out there. Kelly has already called dibs on the loft if we get a park modle!

I've been to the Grand Canyon once when I was a kid, I might have been somewhere around 8 or 9yrs old. I wanted so badly to ride down to the bottom on the mules. My Dad wanted to do it too. But my half sister, nest older brother didn't and Mom was terrified of the mule. She was terrified of horses too. So if I can be assured I wont break the poor critters back??? I just might get the chance to ride in the canyon soon. hehehe' And Kelly is about dying to jump on an ATV and go riding.

Ya'll are making me nervous here. Why is everyone telling me that I am getting the job of keeping Sparkle out of trouble???? Who's gonna keep me out of trouble? And don't say Kelly either. She can get into trouble all on her own. So the 3 of us might be in a whole heap of trouble with no one to keep an eye on us!

While Kelly and I are excited about doing this we kinda figure that it's not gonna be the job from heaven. But we are gonna do our best to make sure that we enjoy ourselves and making sure that the job is the first rung on our full timing ladder. It will be our jump off point and the start of getting our much needed experience.

As for what we will be doing 'next' winter?? Have no idea. But I'm confident that we will find something. :D
