Airport Parking for Motorhomes

I thought some of you might want to know about the fact that airport parking is available for large vehicles in at least some airports.

I flew to my son's house from Tampa at Christmas last year and was panicky about having to leave my vehicle and all my belongings somewhere safe while I was gone. I thought I would have to put it in an RV park and somehow get a shuttle to the airport. Turns out that Tampa airport has tons of space for really large and tall vehicles in their economy outdoor lot for only $9 per day. I had tons of room to park in this huge area. PLUS, the area is fenced and lighted, and right next to a runway and where the shuttle buses pass by picking up and dropping off customers who park in the economy building, so it is very safe.

I am now thinking of flying from Las Vegas next Christmas to my son's house in Napa. I found out that the Las Vegas airport also has a large vehicle economy lot with a shuttle for only $15 per day. It also is supposed to be fenced in and patrolled, so that makes me very happy!

That makes me feel a lot better about leaving my vehicle. It will no doubt be fairly cool that time of year so I shouldn't have to worry about stuff baking.
