You might need to beware of what might be near by
when I think of slow cookers think of it taking a long time and
if it was that type of food you more than likely wouldn't want to be in
attendance all the time...
if I was asked that question where were camp hosts as I'd say No...be bear aware!
in town well again need to keep in mind what or who might be near
as to wild life grew up having more deer elk or moose than beef didn't raise my eyebrow

Campgrounds can have bold wild animals due to human feedings, but with my dogs always tied next to me, I always cook outside in various campgrounds. I have never had any food robbers, although where there are black bears, they could be drawn to the scent of stuff cooking. Just be aware as you fill the air with good aromas!
