You are right about kids. I am glad I had a childhood where I was let play outdoors and explore.
I have not been assaulted or been particularly lonely or bored, and the only scrape I got on this thing was when I was going over a very, very narrow bridge to get to a campsite my son had arranged, and with him telling me I had "plenty of room"!!!
I told both of them I could have a fatal accident someday or I could stay home sitting in my condo for the rest of my life, bored to death! I'd rather take the very small chance of something bad happening than never trying something and sitting home for the rest of my life on my rear end.
The point is, so what's the worst that can happen from choosing the wrong RV? If you make a mistake and don't like it, the decision is certainly not irreversable, so choose what you think you will like, try it for a few months or years, and then do something else.
