More wonderful pics, Anita! I remember those rainforest areas out there, but didn't remember the term "nurse logs"----love that thought! I do remember that the Portland, OR area was so damp and grey and wet and just plain icky all winter that the supermarkets had an entire aisle dedicated to antifungal and antimold sprays and potions to keep the stuff from growing around the inside of one's house like Spanish Moss! Even the buildings in the city proper had green moss growing on them!
