Help w/multiple Apple devices

I need to know how to get multiple devices to work on the same Apple account. I have an iPhone3GS & an iPad2 on my account. The iMessages goes to my iPhone only. The user guides say that it should go to all devices on the same account.

Are you using the same password for all devises? If not Google changing Apple ID and there is a way to may your primary email address your Apple password which will work for all, or so it says! My DH has multiple Apple ID's but I haven't fixed it yet for him he seems to handle it.

They both are the same account ID & password as well as being on the same aol email account.

Thanks BJ. From what it says, I have everything right. Now if Mitch would just respond to my dang email asking her to double check that she was sending to my email address & not my phone number, I'll know if I still have a problem or not. Dang that girl, this is driving me bonkers & she's painting. Doesn't she know I'm more important?!?!
