Almost Home

Postby mizdeb » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:40 am

Yesterday I decided I needed to come home about 10 am so packed up and hit the road about 1 pm. Took me until a little after 9pm to get into NH. Stopped at my BF house and camped in her yard. Reason for that being the highway to my house 25 miles away has been washed out with recent rains and is just repaired to gravel passable so I didn't want to try it in the dark. Woke to the birds at about 5:30 and rolled over and went back to sleep. Billie had to go to garage with car this morning. Am waiting for her to get back to have breakfast then off for home.

Not sure why I felt the need to come back early after I had extended my last reservation, but after not wanting to do anything for two days I was knew the black hole was opening again. I have learned that when I start traveling full time I need to workamp or I will become as reclusive as I would if I stayed home.

Hugs, Deb! At least you have something to get you out and about - whether it's heading down the road, or back home. It's going to take time but it will get better.

Oh Deb, I hurt for you too. Those black holes come too often. From what I understand, you should be able to find a workamper job easily. I am turning into a recluse too. Going full-time with Mom should help that. Since I sold our land and home yesterday, I have more than 30 years of possessions to deal with to get down to bare bones for the motorhome. You need to do whatever you need to do to help you through this.

I say, follow your instincts. If you need time alone, there is nothing wrong with that. When you are ready to let the world back in, you will. We all grieve in our own way. Everyone keeps telling me that it will get better in time. I am sure you've been hearing that too. Lean on your family and friends when you can. It helps at times. This forum is a great place also for support. It helps me that so many of the ladies have already been through this and come out on the other side. They give me hope that it truly will get easier.
