Summer Home

Left the land of long leaf pines and alligators far behind. After a busy May in GA/TN/KY/IN and back to GA I have put out my awning at Georgia's newest state park, Chattahoochee Bend. I'm about 15 miles outside of Newnan, GA along the banks of the Chattahoochee. I should be here till Labor Day. After that????? Guess I need to see if Vickie can move me on the member map. Been so busy the last two days with traveling, trying to dodge bad weather and horrible traffic that I've had very little computer time. Also, no phone service here for me on AT&T. Fortunately I have a Verizon MiFi which gets great signal so I can email and blog. Will be posting to my blog soon and will add pictures of the changes I've made to Seeker. I've learned that Gus has a very painful spine condition and has trouble climbing and doing steps so have made several changes to make things easier for him. I mean this rig is really just his doghouse on the road and I'm his servant. I'll stop here since I'm rambling. Time to go read the Alaska blogs. I do envy those ladies!

I hope you enjoy your new summer home site. I read your blog and enjoyed your explanation to the woman as to where you live!

I just went to the park website - looks like a good park. I would like your opinion on it as I do take my niece camping in GA.

Only been here 2 days but so far I love it. At least once I got leveled I loved it. Everything is very new which is why I had so much leveling problem. Settling they call it. I don't have all those newfangled auto levelers and if I hadn't had a job here I would have gone off looking for a more level spot. In fact most of the other spots looked more level than mine, but since I'm the camphost I am bound to this site. Had some training today and will have a lot to do tomorrow as there are 10 campsites vacating on Sunday, but hope to take a good look around the first of the week. The folks here are really nice. That's always a plus.
