Dawn,
I've been so busy I haven't had much time to catch up with the forum, but I want to say I am so sorry to hear about Chuck. I lost my mom to cancer 16 years ago and I have always felt that when a loved one passes away after a lengthy illness, that God is sparing them further suffering. He also helps us by giving us the time we have with them to say our final goodbyes and make our plans for the future with them not in it. It is perhaps better that way than someone who loses a loved one in an accident or a heart attack or something and never has a chance to say that final goodbye.
I know Chuck wants you to go enjoy life and live out a dream that you have had. Although you will miss his presence, he will be with you and your mom every mile you drive. Take care, enjoy the memories as you make new ones and know that we are all behind you.
