Hi ladies. Just joined this forum last week and am so encouraged by reading your posts. It has been a dream of mine to RV but I am still working and will probably do so for another yr. I live in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas but would like to be somewhere cool in the summers. I see Happy Retired is from Kerrville which is where I work. Would like to connect with someone local to chat about the lifestyle and how one can make it affordable in this economy (:D

Welcome to the forum. I'm a transplanted Texan that has been in Louisiana for 50 something years. I have family in Lafayette and Lake Charles and I live near Abbeville. Most of my trips are usually to Texas.

Hope you can meet up with Karen. She full timed for a few years and workcamped some. She should be able to answer some of your questions.

Martha

I just got my 'mega-van' last August but will be working for a while longer too - although that time gets shorter & shorter the longer I'm on this forum
This is a great group - lots of advice, caring & laughter. :D Just jump in the fun & enjoy!

Hi and Welcome Pamela. I am a Texan on the road right now. I hail from just west of Ft. Worth. I have been fulltiming since August and am loving every bit of it. Please jump right in on any conversation. We love to give advice (just take what you want from it), help you shop for your RV when you get ready to do that, and most of all, we love pictures.
