Welcome from TX, where it's prime camping weather right now (sorry!!!) I'm glad to hear that your new purchase helped out during the storm. Living on the Gulf Coast, I have similar plans when we get another blow - evacuate inland during the storm then if need be live out of the trailer until power returns. And the generator we've bought for camping will be used to power some essentials - IF we can get gas!!!

Welcome from another good winter camping area, SoCal! Sounds like you've already figured out how to make your rv work for you! My next question would be, since you're retired, why in the heck are you still in NY???? Head south where it's warmer and none of that nasty icky cold white doo-doo!!

Welcome to the forum.....and what Sharon said...you really don't need to wait until spring to try out all those other functions. When the lights come back on in NY and the gas lines clear...and more snows fly :o consider making your way to FL. I had never been there myself until I retired but now understand to attraction during those winter months.

Welcome, Lain. Heck, if you head south, you might as well see all of us - I'm in AZ this winter. Have wintered in just about all the southern states since I started - at least for part of a winter. Head south!

So glad your new-to-you RT was able to help you after the storm. What a great story!

Another Big Howdy from Texas. Heck yeah, girl, head south as soon as you can. A bunch of us are heading to Florida for a GTG in January. You can check it out in the GTG section. Would be great if you could head that way too.

that can hardly wait to retire in just over a year but at least its not freezing cold, just cold, at night, and when I take my sweater off :P

Welcome to the forum! And Roadtrek is a wonderful choice. They are well-made and yours should be good or a long time. I have owned two of them, although I now have a Class C...sigh.
