saying hi from Jersey

I just stumbled on this forum, and am excited. I have been following rv.net for a while and find that the females are the exception. I am a mom of 2, a 5 yr old son and 1 yr old daughter. I have been camping with hubby for over 15 years. we started with a popup, upgraded to a trailmanor, and then upgraded to a 5er 5 years ago. Our son has been camping since he was 2 months old, our daughter was 3 weeks old for her first camping trip.

we are weekend warriors, out 1 or 2 weekends a month, plus one or two week long trips. We average 40 nights of camping a year.

I do know how to drive our rig, though hubby does most of the driving.

I have a passion for changing the persevered vision of who camps and fighting for more support for camping families.

Welcome to the forum. You are busy making great memories with your children. Truth be told many women with full-time jobs and/or families find following and participating in a forum...time that they haven't been able to squeeze out of their day. Hope that we can help support your love of traveling and camping....I know that your time is so already spoken for  with young children.

Hello and a big Texas welcome to the forum. Camping makes good memories with your children. My daughter and I used to tent camp when she was young.

Welcome,

I don't know why, but when workamping 2 different seasons in PA I seemed to find more families camping with young children from NJ, PA and NY then I see most other places. At least more that fit it in regularly. I could be wrong, but it seems you have a good group of folks doing that out there. And those kids are not growing up just attached to tv's. I love it.

Glad to have you with us and hope to meet you one day down the road.

Hi and another Texas welcome! I love it that you take your kids camping. I remember tent camping with my family when I was a kid and have wonderful memories from those trips. Look forward to hearing more from you and seeing any pics you want to post. We love pictures.

Welcome, CamperMama. Do you mostly camp in NJ? I've been in Washington State for 36 years, but I grew up near Montclair, NJ. We spent every summer in Sussex County, on the banks of the Delaware River. Beautiful country!
