Hello from up north

Come on in and say hello.

Hello from up north

Postby Scoutsgirl » Thu Sep 27, 2012 11:33 am

Hello everyone. I am so happy I have been linked to this forum. You all seem like such fun women who really enjoy life.

Traveling to Canada and the US in a motorhome has been on my bucket list for a while. I will be retiring very soon and am presently shopping for a good used class B . Until I make my purchase I can spend hours getting excited about the whole process just on this board. . I plan to travel accompanied by my 8-) 8-) copilot Scout who is my eight-year-old sheltie. I have camped just about everywhere in Canada in ( another life). ,Now that I am alone this is beginning to look real good. Life is taking me through a wonderful journey.

I live in Ontario near the Michigan border. Looking fwd. to your advice, and on line friendships. Hope to meet some of you in rallies.

Glad you found your way over here. You will find a great group of women on this board. Did I mention that we are nosy? :D :D :D And we love to offer advice so you might even get your questions answered. And we do love pics!

I "met" Scoutsgirl over on rv.net and told her about this site when she mentioned people were questioning her sanity for wanting to travel around in a Class B - knew there were a lot over here that could definitely relate (not me, I'm may be crazy - but I want to do it an a trailer!!!   )

Welcome to Scout and his lady. I just downsized a few months back from a 30' Class C to a 19' Class B. I bought mine used online from www.vantastic.com. It was advertised at $25,000. I offered $17,000 including shipping to me from New Mexico to Texas and they accepted. have fun with your looking - that's half the fun.

Hi Scoutsgirl (and Scout). I love shelties. I'm fairly new to the forum and am currently attending my first gtg. I have a B+ RV and find it's perfect for me and my 2 dogs. Have fun on your shopping adventure. Everyone here is so willing to help and encourage. Hope to see you some time "down the road."

Adding another welcome to the forum. As mentioned, many of us are looking forward to shopping with you and a chance to meet you as you travel. While not new to the forum, I am new to Rving and just recently purchased my first RV with a lot of help and encouragement from many of the wonderful ladies I've met here.
Don't be shy about adding yourself to the forum member map (1st topic under general thread) and/or taking advantage of it to see who you might up with along the way.
