Hi Redwahine! I'm on the other side of the world from you - or at least Beltway 8!!!

I have a small (read microscopic!!!) travel trailer that I take weekend camping up to week long trips. I haven't done anything longer than about 8 days because of that ugly 4 letter word that begins with a W.

I think you will find lots of good information and definitely lots of opinions. In the meantime, there's lots of places that your can research in the Houston area, including PPL if you want to go used. The RV show is usually in February and there's also usually a pretty decent selection at the Boat Show in January.

There's also a get-together (GTG) planned for the end of October over at Canyon Lake. It will be my first time to meet some of these women - unless Paulette and I can hook up when she comes through.

Welcome and so glad you found us. I you have dog showed in an RV you will have no problem adjusting....it will all come back to you only with less dog hair and you don't have to worry were to put your "show clothes". I do get laughed at a little because when traveling for weeksat a time I do bring along the grooming table....it is just easier that way and , hey, it can be a table for other things. Many a buffet has been served up on a grooming table!

You can read back on some of the other thread regarding everyone's opinion and suggestions to think about in choosing the set up that will serve you best. Most of the woods of wisdom is to research, look and imagine how you want to us what you get. How you want to travel. What makes you comfortable.

Help. I am trying to put a picture of me and Tyler in my signature. However after all my tries it keeps showing up HUGE. I have edited, cropped and resized in photobucket, but it keeps displaying on the Forum post HUGE. Please help. Thank you.

The problem with trailers, even the little ones, is they act like a sail. I pull my Sportsmen Classic 16BH with an F150 Super Crew and there are times when I don't think I have enough tow vehicle, even though I really do. It's that wind effect. With a 3300 pound tow rating, that Volvo may actually only be limited to a popup.

I have seen the RPod and they are cute little trailers.

I tow a 16' Cruiser RV Fun Finder with my Toyota Sienna van. Van's tow rating is 3,500#. Perfect size for me and The Beast. But we don't fly up mountains real fast.

And the ladies on this Alaska Adventure have convinced me that I can Big Potty in my toilet...it has been very freeing! :mrgreen:

Welcome from the left coast! Hope you make it to our Tx GTG, we always have a rig tour and if you haven't found the perfect one yet you might get some ideas....and if not ideas, for sure lots of opinions!!
