Hi Everyone!

I’m the first in my family to RV. Never been in one except at RV Shows until I bought mine in March 2009, a 2008 R-Vision Trailsport TS23FDS travel trailer and a Chev Silverado. in 2008, I attended a Life on Wheels education conference given by the late Gaylord Maxwell.

I was 69 in April, retired from six years as a Chamber of Commerce Exec. Have been or done Medical Records Director, VP of a TPA, adm. assistant, bank teller, education coordinator for large craft/fabric store, drove a semi (that’s a whole nother story), owned a business making handmade paper. Now Paper Chase, a virtual office administration is my business (elevator speech = “Anything I can do on a computer in an RV, that is legal, ethical and moral”). I grew up in IA, lived in MO, NE, MN, worked in KS.I think I was born with “itchy feet”.

The first year I took three one week trips. First one was about 50 miles from home (testing the water, one little toe at a time?) I’ve been on the road full-time since April 30, 2010. A month in Hot Springs, AR, a month in Mitchell, SD, couple months back in MO with a few side trips on the way. Five months in Aransas Pass, TX (Winter Texan, Yah). Since April this year when I left the gulf coast, a week in Fort Worth to see a sis, a week in MO to see Mom (95 years young) a month in Omaha with daughter, two months in central MN and I am now in Branson, MO working with Missouri Community Betterment preparing for their statewide conference October 16 & 17.

Thanks to this forum, the LOW conference, other internet sources and great RVers, I’ve managed to stay out of trouble, so far!
Ann C

I went because I’d never been!

A big forum welcome to you, Anne. Sounds like you've got it all together. We, of course, love pictures. Do you have any furbabies?

Thanks for posting the intro, Ann. And WOW - what an interesting first year + you've had. I ended up a whole year in that part of TX. I have friends who live in Ingleside, so got a 6 month workamping job in Port Aransas and extended it another 6 months. I hope to get back that way this winter for a bit.

Glad to have you with us.

Welcome Ann...you aren't letting any grass grow under your feet and isn't it great that growing grass is no longer a concern anyway. Branson is not far from me. I'm in Arkansas. I enjoyed reading in your blog. Keep up the good work, you'll give some of us some good ideas on what''s to see and do.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
No furbabies with me, I've three grandkitties that were in NE are now in GA.
Forestgal, sounds like that would be "Double Trouble"
I'll be back in Aransas Pass, TX November 1, Yah!!! Loved Rockport, Port Aransas and shopping in Corpus.
No grass, but I do have a small herb garden that travels with me, can't quite get away from a garden.
I'll post photos "as soon as I have time" (you-all know how that goes)
In the mean-time there's alot of photos on my blog http://paperchaselady.blogspot.com
and thanks Travelinana for reading it.

Welcome Annc! I love your blog...so many great pictures. Looks like you like the same kind of travel I do. The roadside sculptures were so much fun.

Check out the GTG in AR in early October. It would be great if you could make it and meet some of the "sistahs." Many live or winter in TX.
