Hello from Canada: As way of introduction, I live in Florida, but have lived and worked summers in national parks years. This winter I bought my first RV, and decided to do something different. I am in Nova Scotia workamping and so far, even though the weather has been pretty bad, I love the different culture, the scenery is amazing, and I am looking forward to exploration of all the Maritimes. I travled here mostly on my own (the first leg I had friends), and as my first entry it was nerve-racking, daunting, but I felt good once I got here. I learned to back-up, hook-up, clean-up, and everything in between. I look forward to hearing from others who have joined this group with the same adventurous spirit I have and learn new ways to do things, share ideas, etc.

Welcome! So glad to have you with us. I have a question for you. As a fellow workamper, I've wondered about working in Canada and have been told different things - one that I wouldn't be able to. Does Canada make that difficult?

I love that you traveled outside your comfort zone and found comfort. I did the same, as have many of us. And I'm so glad I did.

Join in often and hope to meet you down the road.

Welcome to the group. Lots of good info and fun here. My DH (known as tGM) and I did the Maritimes last year and loved it. Where in Nova Scotia are you? We have a blog and you can read and see pics of where we went. Congrats on striking out of your comfort zone (which doesn't seem to have lasted very long  ). carold

Welcome from the Sunny Southwest of the U.S.! Glad you've found us! We'll all be looking forward to hearing about your adventures. I hope you know how to post pictures, because that seems to be almost a requirement -- especially from somewhere that most of us have never been. :)

Again, welcome.

Welcome and, as noted earlier, please post pictures of your RV so we can all get to know you better. Another question on the workamping--how did you find out about the job in Canada?

Welcome! Sounds like you have a great summer planned. I am from FL too, and just started full-timing in March. I'm traveling in the NE this summer. The Maritimes are still on my list, but not this summer.
