Welcome Gretchen and Candy. Glad to have you with us. I'm in PA till November. We have 2 gtg's planned in PA - right next door to OH - so check out the GTG room and maybe you could come to one. I don't know if they have tent camping at the June gtg (think they would allow it there). I know we have it for the Sept one. Meantime, enjoy your camping! And I hope you can get further afield - now or later. So many wonderful places to see!

Welcome Gretchen & Cindy!

Just thought I'd offer my welcome from the Left Coast. There are lots of gals all over the country camping in everything you can imagine. I hope you'll be able to meet some of the wonderful women on your side of the country soon. If you ever get out my way we'll gather everyone in S. CA and have ourselves a grand ol' GTG!

Welcome Gretchen & Candy. Glad you joined our forum. You are smart to start with tent camping to decide if you like camping well enough to invest in a TT or RV. You'll have lots of good experiences to build on when you retire. I look forward to meeting you somewhere on the road....maybe at the PA gtg?

Hi Gretchen,

I'm a neighbor to the north in Michigan. Way up north in Michigan actually. About 75 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge. Glad to have you join the group. This is a very caring, wonderful group of people, always willing to share advice and of course pictures :) I've been on it about a year now and have learned so much. I jst brought an 18ft TT last summer and am enjoying it very much. Just the right size for me to handle alone.

So ask any questions you have, share thoughts, laugh, cry, throw tantrums, whatever. We are here for you. If somebody can't answer a question, there is always somebody who can.

If you ever travel into northern Michigan, look me up at Otsego Lake State Park in the summer as that's where I will be working.

Welcome, ladies!
Glad you found this forum and please join in any of the threads.
I actually started out in a pop-up camper (Illinois, hated it, allot of work), then digressed to a tent while living in Alaska. We packed the tent and provisions into our boat and camped on many islands as well as all over the peninsula. Eventually we purchased a 25ft 5th wheel and I really fell in love with travel/camping then! I sure hope you learn to enjoy it, too.

Welcome aboard. I am here in Lebanon over in Warren County. May have to take you up on a short weekend camp out. Is the campground over there near any water? I have also thought that that a stay down the roa at the KY Horse Park would be fun, too. It has been a while since I have walked around the horse park and would enjoy the company.

Still another "welcome to the forum". Many of us started with tenting, so who knows what's down the road. We're always nosy and love to see pics. Hopefully, you will be able to attend gtg's, no matter how small or large. If you've been browsing thru the posts, you already know what an array of personalities we have here  and decided to pop in anyways  carold
