Okay, I'll admit I have way too much time on my hands....and I'll admit that I could be cleaning the rv inside and out or doing dishes or doing laundry or a multitude of other things....but here I sit. Okay it's not my fault, really, it isn't (shut up Mitch), it's just that I've been without a fast internet connection for like a whole 4 days, now my fingers and eyes don't want to leave, it's not like I'm sitting here munching on chocolate/vanilla sandwich cookies and have actually stuck my fingers to my computer, but after all, it is considered an addiction..... isn't it? Oh, by the way, yes, I AM sitting here munching on chocolate/vanilla sandwich cookies, but that's not the point I'm trying to bring up here. The point I'm trying to bring up here is that I actually sat here and counted (with pen and paper help) that of the last 69 (not my fault, but that was the number), of the last 69 new members here, only 8 of them have posted something, anything, a smiley face, a scared look, anything. Come on you women, if yer not quivering scared of our goofiness, if you read our experiences and laugh or cry along with us, get excited when somebody gets a new rv or a pet or whatever, come on, join in, let us get to know you, join in with what's happening with you. Don't be afraid, heh, heh, heh (that's my upcoming Halloween laugh I'm practicing).

Okay, you made me go look... There are a lot of names with zero posts....their loss. Then again, we are not everyone cup of tea....twisted women that we are ...it helps if you can read between the lines and bring a sense of humor...

I, too, checked out the newbies. Be careful clicking on websites. I clicked on one and my virus program blocked it as a questionable site.

First, Karen, that link wasn't a virus - but your blocker probably caught that it collects info. That member is being deleted - although I would have probably allowed that site if she had posted.

As to all that haven't posted. I really miss Cedar! She used to send everyone we added an email welcoming them and telling them we require a post in Introduce Yourself etc etc. If they didn't follow through, she deleted them - and never did you see this happend. Unfortunately, I'm no so on top of that - since I don't send the email, I give them more time. Then, eventually delete the ones who don't post. I know some of them are just being shy - which is why I wait.

I just cleaned up some of those- there were about 10 that I had down as deleting when they applied, must have hit the wrong button - all from one day. Got rid of a bunch more. Will see whether I want to email most of the others and see if they will post a into. Need to also email some members who haven't been active in a long time and get them to post, also.

I did the same thing recently, looked to see how many of the newbies had posted and was surprised to see how few had. Most had received several warm welcoming messages and some sounded very promising. Maybe they got their questions answered and took off down the road with no internet connection or

What a really good question? I have been kind of discouraged in offering a greeting to some, they sound like such interesting people then we hear nothing more from them. So sometimes I wait to see if they really do want to join in. I have also looked at member list recently, actually was there to find add. for a pm to someone and my goodness at the names I have never seen on here and couldn't find an intro for them. I have assumed that most have read enough, they know how nutty we are, but also how caring and supportive we are to all of our sistahs here, that is why they joined, to participate, isn't it? What fun they are missing out on !!

So, I agree, a very good question. One that I hope will have some joining in. Some gave intros that I was really hoping to learn more about them and meet one day. If you live alone and would like to add new friends , have new things to do, join in and you will find almost anything you need here.

If you're shy, you aren't alone, but typing on a computer is not hard to do. Its really a nice way to meet some really nice people !!! So give it a try and most of all, GIVE US ALL HERE A CHANCE. Thats the reason you joined isn't it?

Being a newbie myself, only on here since this spring, I too have wondered about others who are on the member list and never heard from again. But then sometimes in this day an age, people are so busy with their lives, that the computer is becomin an object to dust off more than anything else or just used to take care of persnal business. Course a lot of folks are into Twitter, Facebook etc. And maybe like some of you said, they are afraid to post cause they think we might not care for what they post about.
I can't believe that with all the RVer's out there, that I am the only one on here from Michigan that does any posts or even belongs to this site. Ordid I miss somebody?
