Hi, so glad I have been "activated", was starting to think I did something wrong when registering! I have been reading the forum for about a week now and am excited to chat with all of you ladies. We used to own a 30' TT but sold it when we moved from NC to FL 3 years ago. We really like it here in the Tampa Bay area but I love a change of scenery and that is why I think I love boating and RV-ing...We own a small cabin cruiser and do alot of boating in the area. We are planning on getting a new truck and TC in the future and then we can do more adventuring.

Glad to have you with. Hope you didn't have to wait too long for activation - we try to get to it within 24 hours. But we do check some of the criteria as too many spammers try to get in. We catch most, but unfortunately not all, of them.

Join in the fun here - and hopefully future at a gtg, small or large. We love meeting our forum sisters.

Ok, I need help...I am having trouble adding pictures (too big a file)..can anyone give me a suggestion of how I can do it? I wanted to show you all my old "refurbished" TT.

Hi, just saw this intro. Welcome! We lived in Tampa for over 30 years, until we started fulltiming in 07 and now we winter in Sarasota. Glad to see you on board. Maybe we can GTG when we get back from our travels. Looking forward to posts. carold

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I love "beachy" stuff too. I love sewing and crafting and taught craft classes along time ago. I am now an elementary school secretary and DH is a HS teacher, we love having the same days off and plan on traveling/cruising during our summers off. When we were moving down here to FL from NC, we were contemplating living between a "motoryacht/houseboat" and a 5th Wheel. We have friends in N. Orlando that do this and it is a wonderful life! DH was really not ready to cut the "landlines" just yet as we are not full empty nesters, we still have our son (p/t worker & p/t college student) and DH wanted a landbase for a few more years, but I am sure I will get what I want in the future. We have a nice lil pool house about a half hour from Tampa and we are very happy with our move here. I will have to live (RVing) vicariously through all of you until we can get out there in a few more years....

Carol- I would love to meet up with you if you are back this way..and that goes for everyone! I am gonna keep my eye peeled to see when the gtg's are and if I can drop in, I will. I love to learn new things and know I will from all you experienced RVers...

Hi Karen, and thanks for the welcome. I just read that your daughter is also in Washington state. Our's is in the Navy and stationed in Oak Harbor, about and hour and a half from Seattle. Once you start "comparing notes" you find that alot of us have some many things in common..glad to be getting to know so many nice "sistahs"....have a great weekend!

Welcome Laurie! I live in Ocala (when I'm home) and have a daughter in the Tampa area. I too love both boating and RVing. I used to have a sailboat and sailed around the keys and on Lake Weir. Only boat I have now is an inflatable kayak. Hope to meet up with you sometime. I expect we'll have another FL gtg next winter.
