Hi, my name is Carol and I live in NJ. I have been camping for about 10 years and love it. My husband died almost 2 years ago and a 33ft 5th wheel is way to much for me to handle so I haven't camped much since then. Last Friday I picked up my new toy, a 24ft class c or, I think they consider it a B+. I am so excited to take my first camping trip in it, but want to wait for one of my kids to camp also, just to be sure that I am doing everything right. :lol If someone can tell me how to post an image, I will put in a picture of it

PS: What's the difference between a C and a B+?

The class c has the bunk over the cab and the B+ doesn't. At least that's what the techs tell me at Camping World. My tv and storage compartments are over the cab.

So, they're both built the same and look the same from the outside, but the over-cab area in each has a different purpose?
The B+ would sleep fewer people, then (cuz no bunk)??

Welcome Carol! Glad to have you with us. I have a similar sized C - and love it. Hopefully you'll love yours as much.

The C and B+ is so very fuzzy. Some places call a C and B+ and vice versa. Supposedly the B+ doesn't have as BIG an area over the cab - no real overhang - just goes over the seat area - and the B+ is not as wide as the C. So, if the overhang is as big - even though it has the entertainment center, it still is a C - but if it's cut back and not as deep - it's a B+ (plus the less witdth). That said, I've seen rigs called both - and don't think it matters.

Didn't think you'd cause a discussion of what's what, did you Carol? But we do have enquiring minds.

When you go to the post on pictures, if you have questions - post them there and one of us will help as soon as we can. It takes a little to learn, then it's a breeze.

I have a 30' Class C with an entertainment center over the cab, not a bunk. Beth is right, its pretty fuzzy.

Welcome to the forum. My son is in the Air Force stationed in New Jersey. I was up there the first 2 weeks of February this year when there was a foot of snow each week. That was an experience for someone from South Louisiana. I think I would be out of there when the first snow flake fell. I have to say that you all handle 2 feet better than we handle 3 inches.

I have a 22 ft motorhome with entertainment center over the cab. I've never really thought about if it's a class C or B+, but I'm leaning towards the B+. Just my opinion. It does offer less sleeping room but hey! I bought the rig just for me and my needs and it fits just fine. I look forward to seeing pictures of yours. Please post often!

Welcome to the forum, Carol! You've found a great support group here. Hopefully you can arrange a camping trip with your children very soon to try out your new RV, if not, just try it out in the driveway.

Adding another welcome here. When I first got my B camper, I took it for a try-out at a local state park...3 miles away. That way if I had a problem, I wasn't far from home. Hope you get to try yours out soon! Like the others, I'll look forward to pictures & details of your first camping trip.

how exciting, I can hardly wait til I'm in your shoes and can get my little class c,
I have a fifth wheel now but I want to go smaller for traveling and camping.
This one will stay here as my "winter home"
Don't forget to stop by the morning coffee or the campfire, we do alot of idle
chit chat there too.
