hi everyone - i'm a 65 year old woman (a retired nurse) who lives in massachusetts and camps weekends for 3 seasons a year in a "cabin A". its a small 1500 lb t.t. that was originally made by the Aliner company but has been discontinued recently. my little camper is my main hobby and, like most of you, i'm always thinking of ways to fix it up so its more comfy and efficient.
my other major activity involves my grandkids. i take care of 8 year old kate and 5 year old brian five days a week while their parents (my daughter and son in law) work. i live in a mother in law apt at their house and so in order to have a real vacation, i hitch up the t.t. and usually head up to maine on the weekends. i do take the grandkids with me when their schedules permit (they are busy little tykes!) and they love camping, too.
i've now shared more about myself than i ever have in a forum like this - as beth mentioned, i am shy, but will try to post more often. i may even try to upload some pix... but dont hold your breath cuz i've tried before and havent managed to do it yet.

Wow, Judy. You have your hands full 5 days a week....no wonder you like to go camping on weekends. Welcome (again) to our forum. I hope you'll post about some of your favorite camping spots in ME and MA. I'm from VT/NH originally, but travel back to the area every summer/fall to visit friends in the area & my sister in Bridgewater, MA.

Welcome Judy ... pull up a chair at the campfire and roast marshmallows in between your weekend getaways. We're a friendly bunch, have as many opinions as there are members, but support one another like only girlfriends can.
It's so good of you to help your daughter & SIL ... and how lucky are those children to have their grandma to love them and help bring them up?
Look forward to seeing pictures of your TT and adventures.

Welcome Judy! If you need help posting pics, just ask, it's something that seems difficult at first, then after you get the hang of it, it's very easy. We've all been there!

Quietjudy, I just read Bethers' apology, which brings up the question ... would you be willing to give us your previous handle for those of us who may have known you before?
Thanks and welcome back!

my original handle was "judyo" but i doubt if anyone would remember me cuz i was just as quiet then as i usually am now, although today seems to be a big exception to the rule!
thanks for the welcomes.

WELCOME BACK, JUDY!
It sounds to me as if you'll fit right in here! We are a very opinionated, independent, sometimes stubborn, sometimes melancholy, and on and on----bunch of women who love to camp anywhwere and in any sort of camping shelter! I hope to meet you down the road, which may not be too long now!

Hiya JudyO!
Yes, I remember you! Not sure if it was here or on the old RVBuddies a-frame (Aliner and Chalet) forum. I'm sure that at one time we had talked about a gtg here in the northeast.
So a hearty WELCOME! (from one grandmother to another!)
Pull up a chair to our campfire and hang out for a while! I'm so glad you are with us!

See, Judy - you post once and it just gets easier and easier! And it's so good to see you doing it. You're a real asset to this great group.
What luck for both you and your grandkids that you get to have so much time together. And what better luck that you have your tt to get away occasionally. I'm sure you need it. Even on the weekends you let them come with - it's away.
Glad to see you getting talkative, and hope it sticks! Me, as you've learned, talk so much that I often put my foot in my mouth! Or in the computer as the case may be.

Welcome aboard. Come meet us in the kitchen for coffee or out by the campfire. If you have been reading you already know what to expect.
Looking forward to meeting you down the road in the future or here in the present.

Welcome to the group, Judy. You might be quiet now, but it's hard with this bunch.
Glad you're back with us. Nice that you get to go camping with and without the gk's. They do put a different light on everything and it's fun to see it thru their eyes. Please keep posting. It just get's easier, the more you do it-and if you're lucky, Mitch will be nice to you. carold
