Welcome Veda. Looking forward to pics of your casita and you. I live in Kerrville Texas but am currently workamping in Douglas Wyoming. We're having a Texas GTG at Schreiner Park in Kerrville Nov 3rd thru 7th. Come on down and meet some of the ladies. If you're interested, check out the GTG section. Come to the campfire tonight.

Nice to meet you, Veda. I love the Casita's and hope to meet you and yours in our journeys. I'm in TX until April - down in Port Aransas - so come on down! And, yes, I'll be at the gtg mentioned above.

I love Fancy - and yep, I understand why she should have been called Phyllis LOL - You should post her pic in the pet section also - give her more notoriety.

Make yourself right at home here - we are all family. And it sounds like you should invite your sis to join with us also :)

Hmmmm? Loonie? Loony? "Loonie Bin". Hmmm? That kinda sounds like a good name for an RV...

Veda, she' s adorable. Sometimes you do the choosing and other times you don't. She obviously knew who she belonged to. I also had a little dog one time that was a runner. I never knew such little legs could go so fast. Always thought that if I had a heart attack it would be chasing that dog.

My last dog, Tips, was a runner if off leash. He always came home, but I'm really surprised he survived a couple of his runs. Scared the heck out of me. Now, my current dog, Peaches, will also run off leash, and I can't trust her to come back when called, so she is never allowed off leash. It's too bad when we play at the beach, but a necessity. She's gotten lose on me once here, luckily in the middle of the night, cuz it was probably an hour before I was able to get her back to me. She was having the time of her life, and I was scared. Some trainers say any dog can be trained to stay with you, but I've seen some very well trained dogs that have supposedly never run - run. So, I'm a true believer in leashes unless you really have a secure area to let them run. And when they do get lose, we'll be scared every time.

my IGs always have to stay on a leash, not only are they crazy for running, but they
are really fast! Its what they do. I've had two dogs in my life that were dependable
to not run, one was my black lab and the other was my blacker cocker spanial. Both
minded very well and had great recall.

Welcome!

I understand why people think she looks like Phyllis! That was someone that could always make me laugh. I also understand how you got picked by her,.... i had a dog once that adopted me instead of the other way around. And it was a love match for sure.

Glad that you found us!
