Hello, Hello!

Come on in and say hello.

Hello, Hello!

Postby Marysdream » Fri Aug 28, 2009 11:43 am

I really hope this goes through. I have missed my old friends and meeting new friends on my lapse from the forum. I'm a former poster who owns a 2000 Rialta, had the chance to take an unforgettable six month trip, and then was waylaid by personal circumstances from continuing on traveling. Didn't feel like I had much to add to a travelers forum as I was staying at home in Florida. With the recession, I kind of lost my nerve for getting back on the road but may have the opportu
nity within the next couple months to Go. I'm wondering how Beth, Sparkle, Fernie, among many others are doing. Need to hear some inspirational stories from the sisters to get the fire glowing again.
I think I will be able to leave Florida by October 1. Will be heading directly west, stopping in New Orleans,, Taos, and eventually making my way to Calif. I will then make my way up the coast of Calif, Or, Wa, and maybe into Vancouver depending on the weather. I don't really have a time limit(just a financial one :)
I am 67. retired not really through choice but happy with it. I have a 28 year old unmarried son who still working through this recession but things have even slowed further recently. I have a wonderful Labradoodle named Yankee Doodle Dandy (aka Dandy) who makes me laugh everyday. He's a little over a year and a fun companion. He'll be coming with me. Am anxious to hear from you all.

Hi, Mary and WELCOME...

You already know how wonderful the women here are...you've experienced them before. So, pictures, pictures, pictures.

Glad to hear you'll be hitting the road again real soon! And what a trip you have planned for you and Dandy. We'll follow right along with you - just post some pics so we'll know what we're enjoying! :)

Isn't it amazing how our 4-legged creatures make us laugh all the time...I know mine does, too!

Mitch

Hi, Mary! We've missed you!
Gosh,I'm excited for your big trip. Have you checked on some of the GTGs? Perhaps you can stop by some on your way west. Or have a mini one with Karen, or Sharon (sprinter), and other gals in TX, AZ, So. CA., OR or WA

Hey Mary, glad you're back. You shouldn't have left - there are lots of the ladies that don't get to travel much. I'll be in Kerrville TX (near San Antonio in the hill country) by Oct 6th, come on by for a visit. Or, there are 3 of us going to the balloon festival in Gallup NM the first weekend of Dec at Red Rock Park. I have some friends in Mass that just bought a Rialta and LOVE it.

I can't wait to see a picture of Dandy, too! Labradoodles are wonderful dogs---a friend of mine now has TWO of them, and they are both large!

Stay in touch----hope to meet you down the road.

Hey, Mary, give a heads up when you get to WA and we will have coffee/lunch or something. Might even be able to join you on a trip around the peninsula.

Welcome back from on who has joined since you parked last time...... It took me several non starts due to family illness and gas prices and too many bills......I have had a MH for 4 years and only now beginning to think about some longer trips..... It is never too late to dust off the maps and drive down the road...... I could sit around Ohio and have unfortunate things happen to me.....so hay, I might as well drive while I can ....... Hope to meet you down the road in the future...

Glad to see you back, Mary - wondered what had happened to you - and should have emailed to find out. Me bad. Now, start posting regularly - so that we can keep in touch. I hate worrying about friends.
