Hello, I am Roberta. My husband and I bought a 26ft travel trailer in the spring of 2014 and used it some last summer. sadly, he passed away last week. I want to travel but am a bit anxious about going out alone with such a long trailer. So glad to find a group of travelers. I hope to get it on the road by mid month to see if I can handle it alone...

Welcome to the Forum, Roberta.
I'm sorry to hear about your husband.

And, as you will find here on this Forum - there are many women in your same boat (well, I guess that should be RV) and have continued RVing, with a great deal of success. So, if we can all do it - SO CAN YOU!

If you have any questions, any at all, someone here will have the answer.

You go, Girl!

Roberta, Welcome to the forum from an Illinois neighbor. Sorry to hear of your loss, but it's good that you want to keep the dream alive.

Not sure where you are in Indiana, but a group of us are meeting in Indiana mid-September. Check out the get together thread for info. Maybe you can join us at one of the campgrounds.

Welcome to the forum from Ohio. Do try to come to one of the Sept GTGs. Even if you make it for a day trip in a car. It will give you a chance to ask questions face to face. :)

Roberta, welcome to the forum, so glad you joined us. I'm so very sorry to hear of your husband's passing.

I second Cheryl and Tina's invitations; please try to come up to Shipshewana even if you make it a day trip. We'd love to meet you and I think you'd have fun.

yep - I saw the sept GTG in Indiana and plan to get to them...Camping in KY with a group of friends Sept 11-13 and will stay an extra day there and head up to Rockdale on Sept 14.. I picked up a nice map of the covered bridge area at an Indiana Information Center in Madison. Thanks for all the encouragement. I bought some of the magnetic sticks for lining up to hitch, they came in the mail today from Amazon.!! hope to meet many of you soon.
