Hello Kathleen. I'm lucky enough to be the first to welcome you. Tell us a little more about you. Are you an RVer or going to be? We have everything here from fulltimers to part-timers to those who are planning, and some that just like to be a with a bunch of ladies who chat about everything under the sun. You will find them a very friendly bunch.

Hi there Kathleen, I'm sure you'll enjoy being here. It is fun and informative. Where is Normal, Ill? We are from Nashville, Indiana just south of Indy. It is cold there too. Right now we're in Mexico.

Hi Kathleen,
Glad to see you made it over here - as you can see by the 2 other posters, we are a very nosy group of women.
Wander around a little, read posts - and join in anywhere you would like. Do you read? We are doing a book club - well, we call it a book club, but if you go to that page, you'll see how laid back we are. And lots of the ladies here (not me) are very talented - crochet, sew, etc - so there's a whole section for those of you with talents. Again, look around, and yep, when you feel comfortable, share more - info, pictures, whatever you feel comfortable with.

Thank you all for the very very warm welcome... Normal is in central Illinois more north... north of Springfield... I live in a 16 x 80 mobile home... have a 28' fleetwood flair class A motor home... I am a window and am 69 years old as of 12-1... I have a dog Shadow he is my constant companion... I have 4 children twin girls, a boy and a girl in that order! I have 8 grandchildren 4 boys and 4 girls (6 are in college)... and one great granddaughter... I retired from school bus driving a year ago this coming Jan... now sure wish I were back with the money situation... I have worked at many jobs: selling portraits for Olan Mills Church division in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio as well as upper and lower Michigan... I did that for several years... before that I was in collections for several years... I worked in electronics for several years after getting my degree in Florida... all that technical stuff is lost in my mind... I owned and operated (as well as lived in) a huge home that I made into an adult foster care home... took care of 6 to 7 ladies 24-7 as well as a disabled husband and 4 teen age children for sereral years... have done many many other short term jobs as well... I enjoy writing... would love to publish a book if I ever get it finished... I got my 1990 motor home last year in the spring (07)... have not traveled much with it... hope this gives you all a thumb nail sketch of me!
may your day be full of good things,
Always,
Kathleen

Kathleen, boy do I respect you! There was a couple here this summer who have 3 adult fosters- and they have no children and no disabled husband - oh my gosh, you had your hands full. That takes a special person to be able to do that. Kudos to you.
I also have done lots of different things. I often wonder how some people have stayed in the same job for 40 years - I get bored and move on LOL - but has made for an interesting past. Thanks for all the info - it's great - and you fit right in with all of us. I hope you get a chance to get out on the road with that new/old rv you have.
