Welcome to the forum. Try to actually see and walk around in as many different units as you can. Read the online reviews. If you check out RV.net you can gather more information regarding likes and dislikes then you may want. You just need to be prepared to sort through what features important to you. Not all opinions have equal weight or knowledge behind them.

Be sure to check out used rigs.....you can find excellent deals out there.

Floor plans and storage are pretty important and user specific.....have fun on your research and looking.

Welcome from WA state. If you buy new it depreciates the minute you sign the papers. Good used rigs usually have all the bugs worked out and insurance is a bit less. Have fun looking.

Welcome to the forum. Members here have different set ups including travel trailers, 5th wheels, class A, B, B+, and C motorhomes. Over the years, we have up sized, down sized, changed to fit our wants, needs and/or desires. My DH and I started with a 5th wheel and then traded for a class A. Others have done the opposite. It is a very personal choice. Whatever you select wishing you fun and great adventures on the road.

Welcome Jeannie & poopers! :D Waterfront home for sale? Wow, there should be a lot of interest in that!!!....I "vote" for a MH, mostly for the convenience of not having to go outside to get inside when on the road. Parked, it makes no dif??? Good luck, & let's see you in FL! Check the "get togethers" for a couple coming up in the next few months!!!

Welcome from one Doxie mom to another! I have a Black and Tan smooth miniature. He makes me laugh every day, so I guess he's worth his kibble!

Welcome to the forum from the central coast of CA. Just was at the Pomona, CA RV show. Tiffin's Allegro Bus is a beautiful MH. Actually, I liked most of their RVs. Good luck in your search. I have a 35' Class A diesel MH and like the self containment and motor all in one.

Keep in mind.... Everyone talks about the convenience of not having to go outside of the camper. What ever you decide, if you're traveling with fur babies, you still have to get out of the camper to walk the pooch. I have a tiny TT and I like being able to just unhook and go. With a motor home, you either have to pack everything up if you want to go somewhere, or tow a car with you. Whatever you decide, ENJOY!!!!

Hi Jeannie, I'm with the group that pulls a small travel trailer and prefer the freedom of unhooking. Of course, if I was going to be on the road for long stretches of time and had your driving experience, I'd definitely go for a class A. Visiting one of the big RV shows would give you the opportunity to see lots of different brands in one place. Be sure to post as you decide. We enjoy trailing along vicariously.
