May name is Vonda. I live in central Texas. My husband and I RV'd in a fifth wheel for 10 years until he died suddenly about a year ago. Not wanting anything to change (denial!)I sold the 5er and got a class c (doesn't bend in the middle when backed up!).

I have driven from Texas to Idaho to my daughter's the past two summers. I have not travelled extensively alone, mostly because I have my daughter and friends who want to go along for the RV adventure. I don't think that I am afraid to go alone, but then, why should I? My neighbor had a ball last spring riding along to Idaho (she had never even been IN and RV before!)

Just wanted to say "hi" and am really looking forward to getting to know y'all. I'd like to post a picture of myself and my rig, but later becuase that will require someone way more techie than me! I'm so glad I found this forum!

Welcome from California Vonda. If I can post a pic, you can too. Go to the Maintenance/Tech Issues and there are instructions there. I use Photobucket. You won't believe how easy it is. There are lots of other forum members in Texas, plus all the rest of us perhaps on your way as you travel about. See the forum members map. Being placed there is voluntary, but it's great to see if anyone is near where you'll be for a possible get together (GTG) which can be coffee, lunch, etc.

Welcome to the forum. Glad that you are thinking of putting even more miles on those tires. So many places one can go....visiting family is just one excuse. Just 'cause its there and I've always wanted to check it out is another....

Welcome. Even when visiting relatives, you can take the long way to get there with lots of stops along the way. Look forward to hearing about your adventures.
