Hello All! My name is Cindy. I currently live in Mesa, AZ.

I have been Rving ...WITH my DH since the 80s, but I feel it's time to be allowed no restrictions as to when and where I want to go. One problem; we have a TT that I can't (though I've tried) hook-up by myself. He's got it loaded down with a gigantic sway bar, that (apparently) requires an equally gigantic, and heavy chain by which you need a a huge iron pipe to leverage it with. Anyway.....I guess I should have seen that unfairness coming. Sigh...

I want to propose a question to you ladies about how I can get an RV that I can handle, but this is obviously the wrong thread to do that...so, without further ado, I'll sign off here!

Thank you once again for accepting me, and for "Being! "

Welcome, Cindy.

There are women who do all that with the trailers big and small ... but each of us has to do what works best for us individually. You find what you would like - maybe a smaller C or B+ or B would be more to your liking? And then you could get road trips by yourself. There are a few ladies on the forum who travel that way and leave their spouses home while out. I have a small Class C and love it.

Glad to have you with us ... jump in anywhere. And remember, we love to answer questions ... just realize lots of the questions and answers are personal so one answer that is right for me, might not be for you ... weigh it all ... pick what works for you (especially in type of rigs!)

Thank you, Beth!

I have posted a bit about my TT in the Talk About Anything thread. Hopefully I'll get some advice about my situation.

I fact I DO want a B or C (later I might get a toad...so it'd have to be able to do that)

Welcome from Texas! And fortunately, I don't have to have sway control or weight distribution with my TT. But I'm sure my next one will and I will figure out a way to do it myself. I'm not going to sit at home waiting on someone else to do it for me.

Welcome to the forum. Hope that you can find information that helps you think through choices. Know that we love to spend other people's money on rigs and "stuff." And whatever you decide we will love the stories and the pictures of the journey. :)

Sorry if that came across snarky - it was not meant to be. If I had to sit around waiting on DBF, I would be waiting all the time. He works mostly weekends. Sometimes my aggravation with him sneaks out.

So I have to be self-sufficient with my trailer. I know the systems better than him; the only thing he can do better is back the thing up. But then he's a professional truck driver.

Eh...don't worry about it!

I have the same problem...but my aggravation is in my DHs face...no sneaking possible. But, I'm not allowed to "know" anything, because his "method" of explaining is to leave out important details, act exasperated if I ask pointed questions, and stopping talking to me altogether if I suggest a criticism. This has been going on for 31 years.

Anyway, I had renewed inspiration when I discovered this forum. I realize now that I'm not going to get anything straight unless I ask you guys, so please be patient with me, because unfortunately I still have to deal with this other person in my life.

That's cool that you know the systems better...was it just from hands on experience, or did you get good at it some other way...I mean in a profession...like your husband being a truck driver and all?
