Hi! I'm from New Mexico.
My husband and I bought a 5th wheel a couple of years ago. Right after purchasing it we found out that I had iron deficiency anemia caused by a hiatal hernia. I had surgery, and a couple of complications later I am now well enough to travel. BUT ... the hubby has just now been diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia, and we don't know the cause yet. Talk about deja vu all over again! We really want to travel, but anemia really puts a cramp in it! We mostly want to visit with family and friends scattered all over the States. So for now, I just visit travel blogs and hope that we can get going sooner rather than later. I have really enjoyed this site and hope that I can be a contributor before too long! I enjoy reading about the quilters, as I quilt, and I was wondering ... any beaders?

Welcome Cynthia. Glad to have you with us. And you can contribute now. Not everything we talk about concerns our RVs. Sorry about the health issues. Certainly no fun.
I love NM. What area are you in, if you don't mind telling?

Good morning Beth! We live in the Rio Grande valley just South of Albuquerque. Lots of trees, and a lot of farming. We did live in Arizona for a while after my husband got out of the military, so that he could go to school, and right after ... then we moved here for his work, and have spent half of our lives here. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by!

Welcome Cynthia from SoCal! So sorry to hear of the health problems keeping you from traveling. What a bummer! But can't you do short trips? There's lots and lots of camping in NM! I'm from Albuquerque, used to think it was heaven on earth...now, not so much, it's just another big city.

Cynthia, welcome! I joined the forum just a few days ago. This is one of the most welcoming groups I've ever come across. I too am sorry to hear about you and your husband's health issues. Hope they are resolved soon so you can hit the road. In the meantime, I'm glad to meet someone who is in the planning stages like me.

The dreaming before hand is fun too! Welcome to the forum, Cynthia. I, too, lived (stopped over) in Albuquerque. It was only for a few months but I loved it. Every weekend we drove to Santa Fe and surrounds to see the scenery.
