Welcome, Carol, from another Carol, who happens to live in North Carolina
Like you, 9 yrs ago, my husband died and left me with a r.v. I had never driven it much, but had always driven a truck. So I with Gods help, talked myself into traveling alone in it. Its a 21 ft. Jayco, class C. Prefect for me, and as we had bought it new, and kept it well maintained, I have continured to do so, its a '94, but am hoping it will last as long as I will be able to drive. I don't want to have the problem of finding something else, not when I find this one so prefect for me. I have traveled so many miles in it, alone and at times with my SIL. That first summer put 8800 miles on it, visiting 3 of our children as far away as Az. When I first left my driveway for that trip, I asked God, am I being stupid, I was SO SCARED. When I drove back in that driveway, I said, "I can do this"!!! I couldn't even tell you ALL of the trips I have taken in it. Not much for traveling the interstates, nothing to see on them, I travel the back roads to really see our country. Its great and fun, alone or with someone. So you can do it, go for it!!!!
Welcome again, so glad you have joined us.
Safe and Happy travels,
CArol
