Who cares if they think you're crazy. If you want to do it - go for it. I bought my rv without ever having spent a night in one - or ever driving one. Was what I wanted and I did it. Thought it would be for short trips at first, but as soon as I bought it I changed my plans, quit my job and went full time. It's now over 4 years and I'm loving every minute - even while contemplating the possibility of having to go back to work for a few years - will do it if it becomes necessary - but think I'll be ok.
