Welcome Cheryl from So Calif. being a Vet, do you travel with pets? Many, many of us here do, as I suppose you've realized. I travel with a dog and a cat. lyn

Thanks everyone!

SoCalGalcas : We used to have a travel trailer in our early years of married life and when the kids were young, we would always take our dogs with us if at all possible. As the kids got older we did a lot of longer, further trips and were staying in cabins (Yellowstone and GTNP being our favorite place!) so for quite a few years had house sitters. So far with the motorhome either my husband didn't go so he got to watch the canine and feline kids or as we will need to do with our upcoming trip, a house sitter again. I was hoping to get a site that allowed dogs but wasn't able to. Our cats are 9 years old and I can't see them adjusting to traveling at this point. My dogs are getting older too, 11 and 12 year old Labradors but they would love the adventure. They are starting to have problems getting around but the spirit is still willing. Hopefully will get them out with us sometime.

Welcome from a fellow Marylander. I have a 16 yo cat that adjusted to the traveling...although he's not necessarily a happy camper. He's and indoor/outdoor cat at home and doesn't like the fact that he has to stay inside when we travel. The other (indoor only) cat and puppy do just fine.

Wicket Lady: We were in Oregon many years ago (1992) and absolutely loved it, would love to make it out there again but will have to wait till have more time off. Hopefully soon.

Catherine: Next trip in 2 weeks will make sure I take more pictures for a trip report :D

Paulette: NIce to hear from another Marylander! Since my trips right now are fairly short I think my cats are happiest at home. If we start taking longer trips I think I will try to get them acclimated. Good to hear another senior adjusted ok.
