Good morning; new solo full time RVer

Come on in and say hello.

Good morning; new solo full time RVer

Good morning,

I am a new solo, pre-retirement full time RVer and looking to connect with other women. I just found this site!

Did you have a rally at Magnolia Beach in Port Lavaca? Of all things, I think I was just down the beach, unaware, on my inaugural trip the first few days of April. I saw a bunch of RVs and thought there must be a rally of some sort...

I look forward to reading more of the boards.

Jennifer

p.s. I am a solo RVer, but married to a man who has a separate house at the Gulf Coast. My home was in Austin, Texas. I blog here: http://www.livinginmycar.com

Welcome Jennifer. Yes, several of us had a GTG in Port Lavaca the end of March. Wish you had come on down and introduced yourself. We'll have another one next year. Where do you live? My homebase is Kerrville Texas in the Winter. I'm currently workamping in Silver City New Mexico. If you get anywhere nearby, give me a holler. You've found a great bunch of women here. Does your husband RV with you at all? What kind of rig do you have? You see, we're a pretty nosy bunch and love pictures.

Jennifer, welcome to the forum! I think you'll really like it here, lots of support! I just looked at your blog and watched the video of your new-to-you MH, it's really cute, I can see why you fell in love with it. Too bad you missed the TX GTG but they'll be plenty more down the road. I can't wait to "follow" you on your trip to Alaska. Post often and get to know us and ask all the questions you can think of. With your mechanic skills you'll be able to help us out too!

Welcome Jennifer! Sorry we missed meeting you at Port Lavaca....it was a great GTG! Our group moved further south on the beach after the first couple of days, away from the crowds. Here's a link:

We decided to make it an annual event....so there's always next year. Hope you have a great trip to Alaska! Don't forget to post pictures!

Welcome, Jennifer!

I went to Alaska last summer (as did Liz who posted above and another forum member, Carolinagal). Make sure to check Liz's posts here - search using "Ididaroad" and my blog: www.ontheroadwithbeth.com/blog - for all about the trip from our different perspectives. I started the blog with the start of that trip - so if you go back to the beginning, you can follow me through. It was a trip of a lifetime, and I'll go back to do it again (and again, and again :) )

Glad to have you with us. Jump in anywhere on here you feel like it - and as often as you have time.

Thank you for the warm welcome! This does seem like such a nice group. I can't believe I hadn't been aware of it. I have so many questions for you, but maybe will start those on other threads.

That was me over on RV.net! Someone (one of you?) posted a link to this site in another woman's thread. That is how I found it.
