From Venice (Italy) to RVing...

Come on in and say hello.

From Venice (Italy) to RV

Postby KrisIsInVenice » Thu Sep 26, 2013 11:53 am

Hi everyone,

I am back in the US after 15 years in Europe and decided to check off another item on my bucket list so I purchased a class A motorhome to do a little traveling. Any tips on going it alone on the road? It is somewhat daunting, although exciting, and I am wondering about the safety issues, how to pull this monster into the gas station, etc. Any input would be appreciated!

And if someone needs a ride from Michigan to Florida next month, just let me know! :)

Thanks,
Kris

Ciao! I've visited Venice. In nearby Padua, I had a business associate which required my visit several times. Welcome back.

As to how you pull your monster into a gas station...carefully. Before I became a rig owner, my friends and I rented one for atrip to the Keys. My friend tried to take out the barrier in front of the pump before we could leave town. So swing wide and line up carefully. :D

From Venice (Italy) to RVing...

Postby KrisIsInVenice » Thu Sep 26, 2013 1:28 pm

Hi everyone,

My first post was deleted for some reason so I am reposting.

I have been in Europe for the past 15 years and am back in the US and a new RVer. Any tips appreciated. Also, how does one load a photo on this site??? It looks a little confusing.

Thanks, JoanE for the reply, but that has been deleted, too, so I could not respond!

Thanks everyone!

Kris

PS
Currently in Michigan on way to Florida next month. Any one going to the LoW rally in Sarasota in November?

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully all the hick ups will be ironed out with the disappearing posts. Check the tech/maintenance thread for the info on posting pics to the site. You need to use a site like Photobucket to store the photos. PM Bethers or Mitch for further assistance if reading through the instructions don't make sense.

Hi JoanE,

Thanks for the reply! And I will heed the info on the wide turns and dangerous gas pumps. :)

Will you be at the LoW in Sarasota since you are already there?

Best,
Kris

Welcome Kris, wonderful woman on this forum.
I use to spend every summer in Sarasota as child. My Father lived there & we spend time with him enjoying the beaches, great breakfast cook outs & some boating. You enjoy yourself ,,,
