Drug testing is becoming more and more of a reality on jobs - but I've never had to for a cg job yet. Had to for Amazon last year and will have to for them again this year. They also do a back ground test. I don't have a problem with them. But I understand how you feel violated. Unfortunately, it costs companies a ton of money when they try to trust people first. So those of us who are trustworthy lose out.
Reminds me of some folks here this week. This cg is really strict about people coming to check it out. You can't drive through on a motorcycle, and if in a car, you get a pass with a time on it you need to be back at the office - AND told you can't get out of the car. Well, the manager allowed a motorcycle in as it was a slower day (and motorcycles are allowed with people IN the cg). 2 hours later they were still somewhere in the cg. Yep, guess what? Next people who come on a motorcycle the rules won't be bent. They were wandering around, looking in windows of peoples park models, etc etc. I know that's tempting, but exactly what the people who pay to be here don't want. And part of what caused the rules to begin with.
Oh, I hated having a storage locker - was so free when that was gone. I did have to save a certain amount of business stuff - and still do as I still have a business. It's all on the computer - what isn't gets scanned in.
I'll also say, I finally got all my pictures and some newspaper articles, etc that I had saved, scanned and it is a pleasure to go through all of them and do it. And they are so much more accessible now.
