Catherine- you are so right, that Toyota dolphin was a real trooper. We got 20 mpg and climbed up Aspen, Colorado and Big Bear in California like it was no big thing!!
Only problem was that we really needed a bed, but it was great for getting " baptized" into rv'ing because my husband had never been in an rv prior to that and I talked him into it.
Needless to say, he fell in love with the whole concept and then we got a 29 ft. Four winds class c. Now we have a 31 ft. Class c Winnebago and are in love all over again!!
Beth- We were at Lake in Woods just this past October. The kids rented the Red Barn. Everyone was so tickled with the place, my husband and I were in the rv, so that made things work out real nice.
We noticed that our electricity was not up to par and we were constantly trying not to use microwave or something else at same time. We have one of those monitors that you plug into socket and it was hardly in the green when anything was turned on. I talked with the office there, but she started lecturing me on microwaves and electricity.
All in all, it is a great place. Kids love it and I didn't even know there was such a place in my neck of the woods.
