Come on in and say hello.

Hello from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

Hi Everyone:

I'm considering becoming a full-time RV'r in a couple of years. I've decided that I can't wait for other people to ask me to do things. I have no family to speak of except for my daughter, who is 31 and married, living a very busy life. I know that I have to make my own life as a single person, and it's hard sometimes. I've been on my own for 8 yrs, and if I wait to have someone to do things with, I'll be waiting a LONG time. So I've decided to buy myself a used camper trailer, and start spending my summers up at the lake to start. I'm tired of being alone, and being in a trailer park from May to October will give me much needed socialization! One thing I know about campers is they love to show off their rigs, so I'm hoping that I'll meet all the other seasonal campers, and make some new friends for all year long. I'm just in the research stage right now, and having so much fun. It's nice to be excited about something again!
Kindest Regards,
Nancy

Welcome to the forum Nancy. You are so right. We have to make our own way and RV'ing is a great way to meet lots of new people and make new friends. I applaud your decision. You will also make many new friends here as well even if you don't visually see them (LOL).

Another Texas Welcome! I was in your province in July, although on a different Great Lake. I was up near Sault Ste. Marie.

Welcome ... I enjoy meeting new people at the camp grounds. We find most people to be very friendly. There is the occasional grouch but for the most part a very friendly group. :D

And another big Texas welcome. You've come to the right place to find new friends. We're pretty much located all over the US so you would have someone to visit in your travels.

PS, down here they're not trailer parks, they're RV parks. Trailer parks are for mobile homes not RV's.

Thanks Wicked! Love the name btw. I'd love to come to WA some time during my travels, but it looks like it will be awhile before that happens :(
