Hope you have found someplace to camp this weekend. Holidays are about the only time I try to plan in advance - as places do fill up.

I'm way up north, and finding good campsites on any given weekend is really hard to do. I usually try to go during the week. Most camp grounds are booked full for the entire summer. I'm already checking my dates for the 2014 season to make sure I get the dates, and the campgrounds I want. Try finding something around the Mille Lacs Lake area(central MN), They have lots of campgrounds there. We have another home 4 miles from Mille Lacs Lake. It's a beautiful area, but very busy. If you just search campgrounds in MN, you might find something open for the weekend.

I hope you enjoy your visit to Minnesota, it's beautiful country!
