Hi, Sandi! I've had experience with the brain stem stroke but not the CARDISIL. My dad had a brain stem stroke and recovered about 70-75%. It was a tough road to hoe, but fortunately, he didn't lose any of his cognitive abilities and maintained his sense of humor almost to the end. Unfortunately, he died of cancer about 2.5 years after the stroke.
There are plenty of great ladies that will be glad to answer your questions, provide support and a caring place to vent and will love the opportunity to meet down the road.
PS - I loved Maui when I was there - I think it was my fave of the islands.

Welcome Sandi. Have a great time in Maui. Maui is my favorite island also. Love it there but now travel by RV.
