2010 RVers Friend

Hello women,

I realize this isn't really the kind of book this topic has in mind, but I'm curious. Anyone use this?

It looks great, but I want to make sure before I buy it.

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. It's beautiful here in Taos - sunny, dry, about 70 degrees. Perfect.

I have the Walmart atlas under it - and like the Corps CG's one better, also. I don't have any trouble finding all the travel centers. And if you stop at one, say a Flying J - you can pick up a little brochure that list's all of them. Same with Pilot and Lowe's. I don't go to many anymore, as I don't travel the interstates as often, but still do use them sometimes.

That said, my first year out, I planned a lot of nights around where a Flying J was - as I used their internet back then, also. I can see the value, but, for me, it would be an expense for a book I wouldn't use often enough and have easy enough access to that info without. That's on year 6!

I haven't used that book. My travels the past year have been over roads that I have traveled many time before, so I knew what to expect with the Rig. However, the trip to the AR GTG taught me that I needed to know more about the gas stations that were Rig friendly for pulling in gasing up and pulling out. A couple of times I thought I might have to unhook the toad to get back on the road. So I bought the book "The Next Exit" and that gives a lot of the information that you are looking at in this book. This book covers all of the Interstate Highways. But then I also just got the "Camping with the Corps of Engineers" by S. L. Hinkle and really like the information in there and plan to use it. Costs are so reasonable in the COE parks. RVing you can use so much information. So if it is a book you think you would like get it. If it ends up not being so useful later on - you don't need to replace it when it outlives it's usefulness.

Bethers and Birdie - thanks for the feedback. I'm pretty tight on funds so maybe I'll just use the internet and stop in at places like Flying J and pick up the brochures.

That sounds like me - I hate spending money on something I don't need to. Have done it often, tho.
