Ok, if you're not making doll clothes for Christmas gifts, you might not be interested in this book.

The subtitle is 'Authentic Costumes from Museum Collections'. The author, Michelle Hamilton, is a professionally-trained pattern designer who worked with an excellent museum collection. I learned a lot about antebellum sewing techniques! Weird armholes!

Those silver lace ballgowns I'm making for the girls' dolls? They're going to be fantasy, not historically accurate.

Mitch might get some ideas for her Baja beach wardrobe, just sayin'.
