By "confessing", you mean admitting it is really Vickie, right?

It's just strips of paper curled and pinched into shapes. The shapes are then stuck together to make a bigger item.
Quilling, like knitting, is really relaxing, almost meditative. When I finally get my rig and come to a get-together, I'll show anybody who wants to see it done. Yakn1, of course you can do this! It's really easy.
If you want to try it with supplies on hand, just cut paper strips 1/8 to 1/4 inches wide, and curl them around around a corsage pin or something like that. Elmer's glue does just fine. If you want to buy supplies, there are quilling strips available in all kinds of beautiful colors and finishes, including metallics, pearlized, and vellum. There's a slotted tool that makes it really easy to hold the end of the strip and get the coil started. I buy supplies online, because none of the local craft stores carry any.
