Baby afghan - the start

Got the afghan started the other day....

will post another pic as I get the varigated added into it and form my pattern. I'm not to keen on the purple,
part but I can always tie a knot and cut the purple out as I go IF I don't like it. I don't want it to overwhelm.
I don't count stitches, I just start out with the size, like 36" and just keep going.
I plan for it to be 36 x 45 just like the afghan, but of course yarn has a little stretch to it.

Ava, that yarn is going to make a beautiful afghan! The purple might just set off the other colors and really make them pop.

I thought that too, but don't want it to pop too much so we will just see how the self patterning works out as I get to those rows with the
multi color yarn in them. The turquoise is the one I want to pop :D

True on the turquoise. Purple may be too much.
