The thread about memory foam was timely for me because I was ready to do an upgrade for my bed in my Roadtrek. Thanks Lenora for asking the question.
Here's the before.....
...and here's the after.....
I choose this fabric because it looks like pebbles in the bottom of a river. Don't know if that will come through in the pics. But overall it's really cozy, especially the fabric framed in the cabinet doors. I'm excited to get out on the road again to try out my new bed!

Very pretty, Diana! You did a good job and it looks great, hopefully it will feel as comfortable as it looks.

Wow! What a beautiful change! Many, many years ago I used wallpaper inserted in the center of my kitchen cabinets (in my stick house)....didn't have money to update the kitchen & that was a cheap solution. It was also a success & cheered that old kitchen almost better than new cabinets would have done. So seeing your pics reminded me of that. Now, I'm thinking that would work in my RV too....Thanks so much for sharing the outcome of your 'renovation'...It came out absolutely stunning !!!!

To borrow Excel's word...stunning, Diana!

Oh, Diana, what a wonderful job!
Do you keep that set up as a bed all the time? If so, even better, no work converting, etc - big comfie area - I'd be living back there!

Thanks for all the nice words. It's fun to share with people
who appreciate!
Yes Beth, this is a full time arrangment, thats why I am calling
it my day bed.
. Besides, the back dinette is next to useless,
way too tight to be comfortable.
I'm getting excited about my trip. Talk to y'all from Texas!

Diana,
That is really superb and so cozy-looking!
We are in the process of getting rid of our sleeper sofa. It is not very comfortable for sitting and the only "person" who uses it is Maggie, our Lhasa Apso. She sits on the back and looks out the windows . . .
What I envision is a daybed of some sort with lots of pillows . . . comfy for curling up on to read, watch TV, etc. and yet easy to use as a bed with minimal hassle. I'm looking at a twin platform with storage drawers underneath and then getting a mattress.
Seeing your setup is inspiring! Thanks!

I like this. How thick is the foam? Are you going to be @ Mustang Is?
