Cover for Icemaker

I just made new covers for my icemaker and toaster/convection oven. I used a shower curtain (you'll see why in the pics) so its not waterproof - just keeps them cleaner. i may later make a plastic lining to keep them waterproof. You can also use plastic table covers. Hope the pictures help show you how-to.

First, lay your fabric (wrong side up) on what you want to cover.

Image

Then pin the sides.

Image

Trim off excess fabric from all four sides. Leave a big seam allowance.

Image

Sew up all four sides. Then put it back on the icemaker, wrong side up, and turn up the hem.

Image

Turn your hem, pin and sew.

Image

VOILA!! You've made a cover.

IT WON'T BE PERFECT, you will have puckers. Who cares. People will just look at the overall effect. They won't be checking your seams. If you have any question, PM me.

Great job - and I looked at the pics and grinned at the flamingos before reading the post. No, no one will not understand - even those of us who aren't the flamingo lovers - it does make a statement - even I would like to make!

So Cool! Where's Trudy? I think we should all make these in TX at the GTG. Of course...I don't own pins nor do I know how to work a sewing machine! My Mom would be so ashamed

I sure would like them weather-proof..but the flamingos won out after all. doesn't anyone make a water-proof flamingo shower curtain? I'm off to look it up.
