beautiful work, wish I could learn how to read a pattern, I've actually been practicing
all week to learn something new with my crochet, and finally got a good stitch down
to make a new afghan. Someday I will attempt doillies.

Beautiful doilies...makes me want to go dig my hooks and crochet cotton out and give it a go. But too many other time consumers on my plate right now.
I am so thankful my Grandmother and Cousin taught me how to do crochet as a young girl growing up. You don't find many girls these days interested to sit down and learn these valuable skills. My Grammy also did emroidery, knitted us mittens each winter, and even did a little tatting...that was way too out of my league for me so stuck with crocheting and knitting. I just love your pinwheels. Stunning.

Actually, knitting and crochet are making a huge comeback ... and BOYS are getting into it. Go figure.

Bobby loves to cook, sew, and CLEAN! Not that I would take advantage of any of that (with my feet up, flipping through my Motorhome mag).
